Mission
The mission of the Department of Engineering and Physics is to provide quality
educational and research opportunities for the next generation of leaders in engineering,
physics, and related professions.
Specific objects are to:
- Provide quality general education service courses of appropriate level to
challenge students to enlarge their perspective in the physical world.
- Provide service courses both in fundamental engineering and physics to support
computer science, chemistry, health science, and other disciplines.
- Provide a BS Engineering Physics-Science program that meet the needs of
students by seeking excellence through curriculum flexibility, depth and breadth
of coverage, research opportunities, and personal contact with students.
- Provide opportunities for students to take portions of their physics and
engineering courses at UCO before transferring to other institutions, and
provide opportunities for students that have completed a portion of their
training at other institutions to complete their degree program at UCO.
